RUD CHAINS BECOMES AN IMarEST MARINE PARTNER
RUD Chains Ltd is the latest company to join a growing Marine Partner network run by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST).
“We are delighted to welcome RUD Chains as our most recent recruit to the IMarEST Marine Partners scheme,” says David Loosley, Chief Executive of IMarEST. “The RUD Group and the IMarEST have impressive histories with both being formed in the late 1800s. However, we have more than age in common. We are both global players – their hoisting, pulling, driving and conveying are renowned around the world; and we both have a strong commitment to furthering the opportunities of marine industry professionals.
“Every Marine Partner has a programme tailored to their needs, and we have put together a package of services, employee engagement, professional development opportunities, networking, technical support and information opportunities that we are confident will provide them with a platform to not only demonstrate their commitment to developing employee skills, but which will have positive results.”
“Demonstrating our commitment to developing our product range to the industry was a key reason for RUD Chains Ltd to join the IMarEST Marine Partner initiative,” says Director, Colin Nelson. “A lot of our products suit the harsh environmental conditions of the industry; they are coated with an anti-corrosive coating ‘corrud’ which has proven to withstand extremely arduous conditions.
“Our latest innovation, TECDOS has been setting high standards across the offshore industry due to its distinctive features. Our highly wear resistant round steel chains are extremely robust, offer three-dimensional mobility and have an exceptionally high resistance to corrosion due to the vigorous surface coating that is applied to the chain.”
“The scope of TECDOS is very great,” explains Paul Barrington, RUD Chains’ Conveyor and Drive Manager. “There are many maritime applications that TECDOS can fit to now and there is also lots of potential applications where round steel chain drives could be used for future projects and new innovations.”
As a Corporate Marine Partner RUD Chains will benefit in a range of ways including the ability to work closely with the Institute on branding partnership opportunities, global networking, spreading awareness of the IMarEST information and knowledge services; and gaining invaluable discounts to a number of the Institutes international events.
